Boot Camp

 Boot Camp is a three day, intensive weight loss programme covering, managing stress and emotions and understanding personal psychology. During the course all participants will receive practical hands experience in preparing food and maintaining a healthy diet alongside several exercise sessions per day overseen by qualified staff.

Boot Camp is aimed at fully mobile individuals who wish to lose weight and are able to cope with extra exercise demands

Boot Camp expanded aims

  • To demonstrate over a three day period a healthy lifestyle that includes a well -balanced and varied diet, and exercise.
  • To kick start weight loss and inspire individuals to manage weight properly for the rest of their life
  • To help people understand more about their personal emotional and psychological barriers to weight loss
  • To arm individuals with a range of weight loss tools
  • To inform individuals of the life they could expect if living with diabetes

 

Boot Camp Outcomes

  • Beneficiaries will be confident in their exercise ability

Beneficiaries will be confident cooking healthy foods in the kitchen

  • Beneficiaries will be armed with knowledge to help them understand food labels, food diaries, calorie counting and other dietary weight loss tools
  • Beneficiaries will understand themselves better and be equipped to tackle emotional and psychological barriers to weight loss
  • Beneficiaries will be motivated to avoid Diabetes through lifestyle changes
